RIP Passive interface

By default, RIP sends updates on all interfaces on which RIP is enabled. For example if you are running it on 10.0.0.0/8 interfaces (all interfaces which addresses beginning with 10.) and you want to stop updating on particular interface, use passive-interface command:

Router(config)# router rip
Router(config-router)# passive-interface GigabitEthernet 0/1
