• How can we correct errors using this coding? When three bits are received, we know that they should be the same. If one of these bits is different, there was probably an error during the transmission. This way we can change this bit, back to the proper value.

Another way of channel coding is convolutional coding. This is used in Wi-Fi standard 802.11g

This is more complex architecture, which consists of memory elements and xor operation. Different combinations of the memory outputs are xored and create an output. In this way we can achieve lower redundancy and still protect the signal from errors.
