    • Restrict unauthorized device access to the network

    Cisco ISE training description

The Securing Network Access with Cisco ISE training is an intensive, 3-day technical program for network engineers and security teams whose goal is to implement consistent, scalable, and secure access control for wired and wireless networks in corporate environments.

    The program covers:

    • architecture and implementation of the Cisco Identity Services Engine as a central access policy system,
    • design and installation,
    • integration with Active Directory and the certificate infrastructure,
    • practical configuration of 802.1X, MAB, and guest access,
    • interaction with network elements (switches, WLCs, firewalls as NADs).

Significant emphasis is placed on building authentication and authorization policies (AAA) and properly designing the environment for scalability and reliability.

The training is hands-on – participants work on real-world scenarios, configuring policies, guest portals, and integrations, and learning how to diagnose network access problems.

Business effect: participants gain competencies in the implementation of Zero Trust Network Access in practice, limiting access to unauthorized devices and users, and significantly reducing the risk of incidents resulting from a lack of control over who, from where and to what resources access the network.

    What does the price include?

    • Training and training materials
    • Access to physical Fortigate devices
    • Certificate of participation
    • Access to a free 1-hour 1:1 consultation with a trainer (within 7 days of training completion)*
    • Lunch and coffee breaks

*when purchasing in the Early Bird window (up to one month before the training)

Who is Securing Network Access with Cisco ISE for?

    • Network and security engineers who design, implement, or maintain wired and wireless networks in enterprise environments.
    • IT administrators responsible for network access control (wired and wireless) and Active Directory integration.
    • Teams preparing network infrastructure for Zero Trust Network Access, NIS2, or increasing security maturity.

This training is NOT for you if:

    • You are looking for an introductory course on networking or IT security fundamentals
    • You are looking for a “from scratch” theoretical course
    • You expect a theoretical course without configuration or lab work
    • You do not plan to implement or maintain NAC/Cisco ISE solutions in practice
    • Your role is purely commercial, sales, or non-technical.

If you are unsure whether the level of training is appropriate, please contact us and we will help you select the training that best suits your role and experience.

What benefits do you get from Cisco ISE training?

    As a participant

    • You gain practical skills in designing and implementing network access control based on Cisco ISE (wired and wireless).
    • You understand how 802.1X, MAB, and AAA processes work in practice, not just in theory.
    • You can create clear and scalable authentication and authorization policies based on user, device, and AD group identities.
    • You learn how to properly integrate Cisco ISE with Active Directory and a certificate infrastructure (X.509).
    • You gain competencies in designing enterprise-class guest access.
    • You can diagnose and resolve real-world network access problems (NAD, AuthC/AuthZ, policies).
    • You return from the training with specific frameworks, best practices, and ready-made configuration patterns that can be applied in your environment.

    As a company you gain

    • Better control over who and what devices access the network
    • Minimize the risk of unauthorized connections, shadow IT, and misconfigurations
    • A consistent, scalable approach to Network Access Control and Zero Trust Network Access
    • Reduced time to resolve network access incidents (fewer escalations, less “firefighting”)
    • More efficient use of existing Cisco infrastructure without the need for costly workarounds and exceptions
    • Improved organizational readiness for regulatory requirements (e.g., NIS2) in access control and identity management
    • Increased IT team competencies without relying solely on external providers
