    Segmentation checklist

Download the checklist we use in commercial projects.

Don’t start with configuration. Instead, start with a plan. This checklist will guide you through 3 stages of segmentation implementation:

    • analysis,
    • configuration,
    • migration.

👉 Download the PDF and check if your network is ready for segmentation.

Most companies claim to have segmentation, but they often end with these declarations.

We can see it in the projects:

    • all subnets function in one VLAN
    • VLAN1 is used in production
    • VLANs that are not in use are still available
    • traffic is terminated on the switch
    • the addressing was created “piece by piece” and today it lacks consistency or the pool of addresses has been exhausted
    • a firewall exists, but its performance does not allow routing between segments
    • the documentation is incomplete or missing at all

    The result?

    ❌ illusory sense of security
    ❌ difficult to maintain

That’s why we created a checklist that we use ourselves in projects

    📌 What you’ll find inside:

    • at what stage to prepare a traffic audit and analysis (traffic flow)
    • what to check in the infrastructure (VLAN, firewall, NAC)
    • when to plan addressing and safety zones
    • how to perform the setup step by step
    • how to approach re-addressing (RE-IP) and migration

Why does it make sense to trust us?

At Grandmetric, we carry out segmentation projects in:

    • Enterprise environments
    • Distributed networks (multi-site)
    • Production organizations (OT/IT)

We know where the projects are being interpreted:

    • No addressing plan
    • Underestimated firewall
    • Lack of cooperation with business
    • “we’ll do it fast” without PoC

Our checklist was created precisely to avoid these mistakes.

You don’t have to start from scratch.
    Start with a proven approach.
