As a Systems Engineer in the Advanced Services team, you will be responsible for preparing and executing technical implementation projects for Grandmetric’s global and local clients. You will also work directly with our Vendor Partners, including Microsoft, VMware, NetApp, Xopero, Veeam, Palo Alto, Fortinet, and a world-class engineering team.
As a Systems Engineer you will
- Work on Data Center infrastructure implementation projects (servers, storage, backup).
- Implement and manage virtualization environments.
- Implement and integrate large-scale infrastructures of global clients.
- Analyze and solve advanced technical problems.
- Create technical documentation and provide support to clients in the operation of implemented systems.
- Advise on the selection of appropriate solutions taking into account the business requirements of clients.
- Collaborate with the sales and technical team in the design of solutions.
- Work with a stack of technology solutions and tools such as: IBM, NetApp, Dell, HPE, Pure Storage, VMware vSphere, Microsoft Hyper-V, Proxmox, Veeam, Xopero.
We expect
- A minimum of 3+ years of experience and knowledge in a similar position.
- Experience in working with enterprise-class storage solutions (e.g. IBM, NetApp, Dell, HPE, Pure Storage). Knowledge of virtualization technologies (VMware vSphere, Microsoft Hyper-V, Proxmox).
- Experience in designing and selecting hyperconverged solutions (e.g. Nutanix, VxRail, vSAN, SimpliVity).
- Knowledge of data backup systems (Veeam, Commvault, Xopero or similar).
- Ability to diagnose and solve advanced technical problems.
- Ability to work with clients and conduct implementations.
- Knowledge of Windows Server and Linux operating systems.
- Knowledge of networking issues (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN) will be an additional asset.
- Good knowledge of English, both spoken and written.
